The lead waitress making a pie

Theatre Tickets and Hotel Packages

Follow the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town’s new doctor may offer her a chance at a fresh start, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes for happiness. But Jenna must summon the strength and courage to rebuild her own life.

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly’s beloved film WAITRESS and brought to life by a groundbreaking, all–female creative team plus original music and lyrics by 6–time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles. With direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson, this irresistible empowering musical is a little slice of heaven!

Katharine McPhee is set to star in the West End premiere of Waitress as Jenna Hunterson, opening at the Adelphi Theatre next year.

McPhee will make her West End debut in this production, reprising her Broadway performance as Jenna Hunterson after playing the role for a four month engagement in 2018. She came into the public eye when she competed on the television show American Idol in 2006, finishing in second place. After American Idol, she played Karen Cartwright in the musical television series Smash, featuring music and lyrics from Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, the musical creators behind Hairspray. Winning an award for best actress in a drama series for her leading performance, she performed alongside Broadway actors Megan Hilty and Christian Borle.

Don’t miss this uplifting musical at the Adelphi Theatre and celebrate friendship, motherhood, and the magic of a well–made pie.
