Zorro

Show synopsis

"From his mother he had inherited his eyes and rebelliousness; from his father, long bones, chiselled features, natural elegance, and the love of learning”

Inspired by Isabel Allende's best selling novel Zorro, Zorro The Musical is set to tell the dramatic tale of a romantic hero who fights with incredible agility and effortless style against injustice.

Diego De la Vega is born into two worlds, his father an aristocratic military man and his mother a Shoshone warrior. Drawing on the strengths from his parents background, Diego's skills are nurtured from a young age as he learns the ways of the warrior tribe and the art of fencing.

At the age of sixteen he is sent to Barcelona for European Education but quickly becomes more interested in the corruption of the Napolenoic rule and injustice of the powerless and poor. With the help of his fencing master he joins a secret underground resistance movement who are devoted to helping the deprived. Once in this secret movement the legend of Zorro begins to unfold, the romantic hero falls in love, saves the persecuted and confronts a great rival from a privileged background.

Expect to see swashbuckling duels, incredible passion, sword wielding enemies and the iconic black mask and cape.
