Spamalot Theatre Breaks

Spamalot returns to the West End. Loved it before? See the riotous new cast!

Lovingly ripped off from Monty Python and the Holy Grail and fresh from its UK tour, Spamalot clops back into the West End for a triumphant tale of cowardly knights, musical parodies and karaoke crucifixions. Join King Arthur (Stephen Tompkinson in his musical theatre debut), his assistant Patsy (Todd Carty) and his Knights of the Round Table on their foolhardy quest for the legendary relic.

Eric Idle and John Du Prez's exuberant comedy takes the side-splitting surrealism of the Pythons and adds a hefty dose of rib-tickling West End pizzazz — even if the scenery is unconvincing, the witch-burnings have been cancelled due to budgetary constraints and the love songs may literally shatter glass.

Taking aim at sugary musicals in numbers like 'The Song That Goes Like This' and finishing with the perennial singalong classic 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life', this hilarious show is a true crowd-pleaser. Monty Python fans are sure to recognise every brilliant nuance from the 1975 film, whether it's "Ni"-saying knights or elderberry-smelling mothers. Newcomers are also in for a terrific treat as the Tony Award-winning musical goes all out for belly-laughs.

So fart in the general direction of any naysayers and grab yourself a Show & Stay theatre break to see Spamalot.
