Fears Arise over Fraudulent Tennant Tickets
The RSC has gone on record to warn theatre audiences about a recent surge in forged tickets for their latest spellbinding production of Hamlet starring TV favourite David Tennant
Concerns were first raised when box office workers at the Novello Theatre noticed forgeries being presented during its first week there. Officials at the theatre have decided to release a new secure ticket stock.
They have advised that anyone who has bought their tickets through Delfont Mackintosh to arrive at the Novello early in order to exchange their ticket for a newly assured one. Executive director at the Novello, Vikki Heywood, told the BBC yesterday that "Our main priority is that genuine RSC ticket-buyers are protected". She also went on record to assure ticket-holders that "We are confident that this will ensure legitimate RSC audiences get to their rightful seats."
Around 800 people are thought to be effected by the forgeries, and these customers are advised to contact the theatre direct as soon as possible.
Tennant's Hamlet enchanted audiences at Stratford-upon-Avon earlier in the year and is set to play at the Novello in the West end until January 10th, 2009. Also starring stage and screen legend Patrick Stewart, the production has already attracted some very high praise indeed.
So don't miss out on this amazing show. Book now through the RSC direct or with a certified affiliate company to be sure that the ticket you're getting is legitimate.
