Chicago Lead is Shaw to Extend

Currently starring in hit West End musical Chicago, Suzanne Shaw has announced a month extension to her role as Roxie Hart.

Fans of the former Hear'Say pop singer will be pleased to know that Suzanne Shaw will be performing in the popular London show Chicago until 9th August 2008. The talented performer has extended her role in the musical for a further four weeks after a successful run since joining the London cast earlier this month.

Chicago opened in the West End in 1997 and has since been a popular draw for London audiences. Based on true events Chicago emphasies the powerful affect the media can have on swaying public opinion. Shaw's character, Roxie Hart murders her lover and ends up in jail with her rival and personal icon Velma Kelly. The two women with the help of slick lawyer Billy Flynn vie for press supremacy, but the question is can they stay in the news and out of death row?
