Spamalot to get Swedish reality TV winner as new Lady in the Lake

As the latest country to join the reality TV craze, Swedish TV channel TV3 has been running a contest to find the new Lady in the Lake for the West End production of Monty Python's Spamalot. After auditioning nearly a thousand hopefuls the list has been reduced to just five finalists who were in London this week.

The five finalists met the current cast of the show, including Hannah Waddingham and Marin Mazzie - the current Ladies of the Lake for the West End and Broadway shows. They were also introduced to the British media by Peter Davison, who stars as King Arthur in the production. The finalists, Sandra Caménisch, Linda Holmgren, Viktoria Krantz, Divina Sarkany and Nina Söderquist must return to Sweden each week to face the judges panel and the voting public to determine who will take the starring role.

The final show in the series will be broadcast in Sweden on the 2nd of February where the winner will be decided by a judges panel in a live TV special. The winner will take over the part from the 11th of February. They will be taking over from Marin Mazzie who will be playing the Lady of the Lake for the final month before the contest winner is chosen.
