Robin Williams To Perform At Geilgud Theatre
Celebrated American comedian, Robin Williams, is to appear at the Gielgud Theatre on two dates later this month as part of his Weapons of Self-Destruction tour.
The effervescent performer, perhaps best known for his roles in family comedies such as Hook and Mrs Doubtfire has not taken to the London stage for over 25 years. Tickets for the hotly anticipated performance are changing hands on internet auction sites for over £400 a pair.
Williams will also be performing at the Prince's Trust We Are Most Amused show on 12 November, 2008 alongside British comedy greats, John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson.
Williams' last comedy tour was a 2002 American smash-hit that became one of the highest grossing comedy tours in history. Williams has stated that the US election is one of the main reasons for his latest tour, the comic intends to take one last swipe at the Bush administration.
