From Pop Idol to Musical Idol
The final cast has been announced for the eagerly anticipated West End production of Gone With The Wind. Pop Idol reality star Darius Danesh has been chosen to play the enigmatic role of Rhett Butler when the production opens in April this year.
No stranger to the West End stage, having previously appeared in Guys and Dolls as Sky Masterson and as Billy Flynn in the long running London show, Chicago, Darius is sure to bring his own unique flavour to a role that was immortalised by Clark Gable. Trevor Nunn's adaptation of the cult film has caused a stir of excitement in London as audiences prepare for what is sure to be a West End hit.
