Never Forget Extends Season

Never Forget

Never Forget, the jukebox musical based on the songs of recently revived 90s boyband Take That, has continued the trend for success in the West End. The show has extended its season until 15th November 2008 after which it will move to another West End theatre in time for Christmas.

Although still shrouded in mystery the new home of Never Forget has been confirmed to be of a similar size to the 1,158 seater Savoy Theatre which was sold to Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal in 2007. Further information on where the cast will be finding heaven, tasting love and relighting fires is expected in the next week.

Considered to be "Take That's Mamma Mia!" Never Forget is set to enjoy the kind of success enjoyed by similar jukebox musicals such as Buddy, We Will Rock You and Jersey Boys. In a recent interview, producer Tristan Baker stated "We’ve had an amazing critical response and the public are loving it so we want to keep the show going in the West End as long as people want to keep seeing it.”

Never Forget follows the lives, loves and tragedies of an aspiring Take That tribute band. Starring Dean Chisnall, Stephane Anelli, Tim Driesen, Craige Els and Eaton James as the band that, according to the BBC were "The most successful British band since The Beatles"

The legions of screaming fans Take That amassed in the 1990s coupled with an original book written by Bafta nominee, Danny Brocklehurst, (best known for Channel 4's Shameless) it seems like it could very well be magic for this exciting, feel-good show.
