Will and Grace Star to come to West End

Published on 8 February 2010 by Nathan Brooker

Megan Mullally, who plays Karen in Will and Grace, is bringing her band to London.

Megan Mullally

The 51-year-old actress and singer, best known for playing Karen Walker in the US sitcom Will and Grace, is bringing her band Supreme Music Program to London's West End.

In a frank interview with The Times, Mullally said: "There are no sequins, costume changes or scripted patter. It’s just me and the music. I hope people don’t show up expecting Karen. If they do, they are in for a rude awakening.”

With a set list that includes arrangements of songs by Tom Waits, Kurt Weill, Kris Kristofferson and John Prine, Mullally claims that her style owes much to musical heroes Gwen Stefani, Regina Spektor and Lady Gaga.

Megan Mullally and The Supreme Music Program are set to play at the Vaudeville Theatre from 16 to 21 February.
