McGowan Stars in Cabaret

CabaretAs of the 21st April 2008, Alistair McGowan takes the role of Emcee in the West End production of Cabaret. The hit show, currently being shown at the Lyric Theatre, opened in October 2006 receiving excellent reviews from both audiences and critics alike. The Daily Telegraph said "This is a strong and daring revival of a great musical that combines unforgettable songs with genuinely gripping and disturbing drama."

McGowan, who takes over from Julian Clary, has recently played parts in The Mikado at the Gielgud and Little Shop of Horrors at the Duke of York's and Ambassadors. He will be joining Amy Nuttall, Angela Richards and Barry James on stage and his talents will undoubtedly take the hit show on to new heights some 40 years after it was originally conceived in 1966.
