Maria Friedman: Re-Arranged comes to the West End
For a limited time only this Christmas, Maria Friedman and an accompanying 11 piece band will grace the stage at the Trafalgar Studios in the self-titled show, Maria Friedman: Re-Arranged.
Maria Friedman: Re-Arranged is a 90 minute show containing some of the star's favourite tracks re-arranged by some of the world's most renowned orchestras and composers. The mixture of classic and contemporary songs include the works of Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Kate Bush.
Composers contributing include Jason Carr, David Cullen, Michael Starobin, Jeremy Sams, Jonathan Tunick and Chris Walker.
Friedman has enjoyed success both in the U.S. and at home in the West End. Her theatre credits include Chicago, Sunday in the Park with George, Lady in the Dark, Woman in White and Sweeny Todd. The star has also played three acclaimed concert sessions at the legendary Café Carlisle in New York and regularly performs one-woman shows across the globe.
Maria Friedman: Re-Arranged enjoyed a sell-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory to rave reviews by audiences and critics alike. Produced by Chocolate Factory Productions, Sonia Friedman Productions, Robert G. Bartner and Bob Boyett, Re-Arranged will be showing at Trafalgar Studios from 27 November, 2008 until 4 January, 2009.
