BA London Eye Wins Award

Today, February 7th, saw the announcement of the annual UKinbound Awards and the British Airways London Eye won an award.

The British Airways London Eye was named Visitor Attraction of the Year at the event in Torquay. Managing Director of the BA London Eye, David Sharpe stated: "The British Airways London Eye is absolutely delighted to have been voted the UKinbound Attraction of the Year for 2007. With so many quality visitor experiences in the UK, the London Eye is extremely proud of this accolade."

UKinbound was founded in 1977 as the British Incoming Tour Operators Association and the awards are voted for by its members.UKinbound, as it became named in 2004, represents the interests of those companies that derive their income from the tours and tourism services for overseas visitors within Britain.

Offering a view of the city like no other, the British Airways London Eye has become one of the most recognisable and popular London attractions. Seeing London from 135 metres above the Capital, on a clear day visitors can see up to 25 miles away in every direction thanks to the panoramic views offered by the glass capsules.
