New Musical for Les Misérables Production Team

Les Miserables Cast

The creative minds behind hit West End musical Les Misérables are set to open a brand new musical based upon the French novel La Dame Aux Camélias.

Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schönberg and Herbert Kretzmer are combining forces with Michel Legrand and Jonathan Kent to produce what is sure to be a musical to be reckoned with. Marguerite, a love story set in Paris during the Second World War will star talented actress Ruthie Henshall who returns to the West End to take the title role. Marguerite is the notorious mistress of a high ranking German officer, Armand a young musician half her age falls deeply in love with her. Their treacherous love story plays out against the backdrop of occupied Paris and the Second World War.

Margeurite is set to open in May of this year at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and if Les Misérables is anything to go by, we could be looking at a new West End staple.
