Lee Mead Hangs up his Dreamcoat

Joseph

People's favourite Lee Mead, winner of last year's talent hunt Any Dream Will Do, is set to finish his successful stint as the title role in the Adelphi's revival of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat in January.

Lee Mead had taken on the role since the production opened at the West End's Adelphi Theatre on 17th July last year. Finishing top in the public vote, Lee was plucked straight from the BBC's Any Dream Will Do and placed at the forefront of the cast. Since then Lee has received strong reviews and won numerous People's Choice awards and even picked up a Variety club prize for Outstanding New talent.

Yesterday however, Lee announced that it was time to move on from the production and that he will play his last performance as Joseph on 10th January 2009. As yet no replacement has been named for the popular performer.

One of the most successful revivals of all time, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat will be playing at the Adelphi at least until January next year. As Lee is scheduled to leave in around six months time, now might be the perfect opportunity to book an outstanding theatre break with Show and Stay.

Catch the vibrant, young performer in this outstanding production and stay in a quality London hotel for as little as £100.50. It certainly is an experience not to be missed.
