Japanese Actors in Woman in Black
This autumn the Fortune Theatre will host a Japanese language version of Woman in Black.
The actors Takaya Kamikaya and Haruhito Saito will star in the production. Both actors have been heavily involved in stage, television and film work in their native Japan. Saito has performed in the production in Tokyo since it opened in 1992. Kamikaya made his acting debut in 1995 in the Japanese drama Daichi-no-Ko, he has appeared in many television and stage roles since, winning a multitude of awards for his work.
The Japanese production is being put on in London to commemorate 150 years of diplomatic relations between the UK and Japan, as well as celebrate 20 years of Woman in Black. The Japanese theatre producers PARCO will be bringing the show to London for just five performances later this year from 9-13th of September.
