Fans will do Anything to see Oliver! the Musical

Oliver

Since Jodie Prenger was cast in Cameron Mackintosh's West End revival of the classic musical Oliver!, fans have been going gaga to get their hands on tickets to see the show

The BBC's talent hunt I'd Do Anything attracted millions of viewers every week, and now that the programme's come to an end, its popularity shows no signs of waning. Commenting on local girl Jodie Prenger's meteoric rise to fame, The Blackpool Gazette claim that tickets for the musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane are "selling out fast". A spokesman for the theatre insisted that: "While we have no official figures, the sales have been fantastic."

Meanwhile, a pair of tickets for the opening night are going on ebay for up to £245, about twice their market value. Fans have been anxiously trying to get their hands on the tickets since they went on sale last month with only the luckiest of those being able to get hold of seats for early performances.

Since the winning Nancy was picked several weeks ago several other big names have been formally linked with the production. Comic genius rowan Atkinson has confirmed that he is to play Fagin and Torchwood star Burn Gorman will fill the shoes of the dastardly Bill Sikes.

So don't miss out; book your Oliver! tickets with Show and Stay now and be part of the biggest theatrical event of the year.
