Gareth Gates has confirmed that he is to star in the touring production of Les Miserables.
Former pop star Gareth Gates, who has recently appeared as Lee Mead's replacement in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, will star in Les Miserables when it begins its 25th anniversary tour on 11 December at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
Gates will appear in the new touring production as the headstrong Marius. Earl Carpenter will play Javert and John Owen Jones will play the troubled protagonist Jean Valjean.
Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, Les Miserables has a book by Alain Boublil, music by Claude-Michel Schonberg and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. The longest running West End show of all time, check out what our reviewer thought of Les Miserables London's current cast.
