X Factor Danyl Eyes Up The West End?

X Factor finalist Danyl Johnson has said he'd be happy to follow in Vickers' footsteps.

Despite not making it to the X Factor grand final, Danyl Johnson has set high hopes on his future, even hinting at a stint in the West End.

Danyl finished fourth in ITV's hunt for the next pop sensation, eventually losing out to Joe McElderry, who was named the winner. However, though Johnson never managed to duet with the stars in the series' live grand final, he has not lost heart. Talking to Digital Spy, Danyl said: "I came fourth and that's the same position as Diana Vickers came last year — look at her, she's doing really well."

Vickers, who came fourth in the competition last year, has gone on to wow West End audiences with her acclaimed performance in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Playing the part made famous by Jane Horrocks, Vickers appears in Little Voice opposite Lesley Sharp and Dr Who's Marc Warren.
