Dancing queens support Macmillan

Mamma Mia!

A group of performers from hit ABBA themed musical Mamma Mia! are proving they really are super troupers by performing at Carole's concert, a special one off fund-raising concert for Macmillan Cancer Support at London's Arts Theatre this Sunday.

Joanna Monro, Jodie Read, Linzi Hateley, Katie Brayben, Laura Selwood and other cast members from the Olivier award winning show will be performing a wide variety of pop and musical theatre songs at the fundraiser, which will also be featuring a performance by the Susan Robinson School of Ballet and live band.

The concert is a personal project of ex-cruise ship entertainer and current Mamma Mia! cast member Jodie Read, who plays Ali in the popular musical. She lost her Mother to cancer in October 2007 and the amazing level of care and compassion shown by the almost angelic Macmillan staff moved her to support the charity who rely on supporters for a massive 99% of their income.

Macmillan supports the victims of cancer both medically and emotionally but their amazing work does not end there. They also support the carers and families of cancer sufferers both during and after illness, offering respite for carers, counselling and a massive amount of other invaluable services. With statistics indicating one in three people will develop cancer Macmillan really are one of the most important charities in the UK, to support them and buy tickets for Carole's concert call 0870 534 4444.
