Connie Fisher's TV Acting Debut
Connie Fisher is to make her television acting debut on ITV. Fisher shot to fame in the UK after winning BBC's How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?
Fisher's contract with The Sound of Music recently came to an end, she was replaced by Summer Strallen previously of Hollyoaks fame. Since she became a household name Fisher has enjoyed great success in the West End and beyond. Her performance as Maria in The Sound of Music received highly favourable reviews, she has released a solo album entitled Favourite Things and was featured on the London Palladium cast album for The Sound of Music in 2006. Fisher's second solo album is due for release later this year and will be titled From Connie With Love.
Already an accomplished stage actress and vocalist, Fisher will be adding another feather to her cap when she appears in ITV series Caught in a Trap. Fisher will star in the role of Gemma Parker, an Elvis obsessed parking attendant who helps herself to the parking meter takings to improve her collection of Elvis memorabilia.
Expect to see Caught in a Trap on your screens on ITV towards the end of the year.
