'Theatre Helps my Family Stay Together,' says Blanchett.

Acclaimed actress Cate Blanchett has revealed her secret to a blissful family life.
The Australian actress famous for her role inThe Lord of the Rings Trilogy and as Queen Elizabeth I in Elizabeth insists that performing in stage productions has helped keep her family together. Speaking in an interview with US Vogue, Blanchett describes the stabilising effect theatre has had on her married life with playwright Andrew Upton.
She said: "There are so few experiences in our manicured, nanny-stated existence that have the quality of circus. Theatre still does.
"And so, when the boys aren't playing with friends, they can usually be found playing backstage."
Blanchett has just finished her run as Blanche DuBois in the Sydney Theatre Company's celebrated version of A Streetcar Named Desire and a new film version of Robin Hood in which she stars as Lady Marion is currently in post-production in the States.
