Carousel Spins into the West End
The classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical Carousel is set to embark on a major UK tour this Autumn before running at the Savoy Theatre in the West End from 22nd November.
With an all star cast that boasts the legendary Lesley Garrett at the lead, this current revival of Carousel promises to be a huge hit in the capital when it opens for the winter season.
Focussing on the blossoming relationship of 'Billy Bigelow' and 'Julie Jordon', Carousel has captivated audiences with its turbulent, emotional and ultimately tragic story line. Carousel contains one of the most impressive musical scores of all time and, since its opening in 1945, has gone on to delight and inspire for more than 60 years. In 1999 it was even named as the "Best Musical of its Century" by Time Magazine.
