Calendar Girls To Embark On second UK Tour

Calendar Girls will begin its second UK tour on 25 January, 2010, following a successful run at the Noël Coward Theatre in the West End.
The tour will open at Chichester Festival Theatre where it will enjoy a two-week run before travelling to The Lowry, Birmingham Hippodrome, Southend Cliffs Pavillion, Leeds Grand, Milton Keynes Theatre, Theatre Royal Newcastle and the Sheffield Lyceum.
The show will see the return of original cast member and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Lynda Bellingham, who will play the role of Chris (Miss October). Gemma Atkinson, well-known for her role in Hollyoaks, will star as Celia (Miss September), Doctor Who regular Debbie Chazen will play Ruth (Miss November) and Letitia Dean, best-known for her role as Sharon Watts in EastEnders, will play Cora (Miss July).
Judith Barker, known for her role in Heartbeat, will play Jessie (Miss January) and former Howard's Way actress Jan Harvey will play Annie (Miss February). Kathryn Rooney will hit the stage as Elaine and Michael Peluso Lynda Bellingham's son, will make his stage debut as Lawrence the photographer.
The stage production of Calendar Girls, which first went on tour before coming into the Noël Coward Theatre, is based on a film of the same name written by Tim Firth. The show is produced by David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers and directed by Hamish McColl.
