Buddy Holly Extends West End Stay

It's one of the newest shows on the West End and already Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story has extended it's stay in London's West End.

Chronicling the tragically short life of the rock 'n' roll star, Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story will now be booking until 30th August 2008. The musical follows the singer during the 3 years from his first recording contract through to his move to New York and the fatal tour of the American Midwest with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper.

The show features more than 20 of Buddy Holly's greatest hits including Peggy Sue, That'll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Heartbeat and Raining In My Heart. Buddy first opened at the Victoria Palace in 1989 before transferring to the Strand (now Novello) Theatre in 1995 where it stayed until it left the West End in 2002 for a UK and international tour.

Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story opened at the Duchess Theatre in August 2007. For your toe-tapping musical theatre break, book your tickets today with Show and Stay.
