Birthday Season in Theatreland

Birthdays have a funny habit of all coming along at the same time, very much like buses, good TV and bills. It's no different in the West End.

With Avenue Q turning two in June, Wicked celebrating its second anniversary in early September and We Will Rock You clocking up its sixth year on the West End in May, there have been a lot of parties in theatreland recently.

Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story is the next show set to celebrate, the Duchess Theatre's revival of the phenomenally popular musical will have been running for one year as of August 3rd 2008.

Prior to the current production, Buddy enjoyed amazing success running for over 5,000 performances at the Victoria Palace Theatre and the Strand Theatre before it embarked on extensive tours. Widely considered one of the most popular jukebox musicals of all time, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story is a delight for audiences young and old.
