Show synopsis
"How do solve a problem like Maria? How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?"
Based on the true story of the Von Trapp family in World War II, The Sound of Music is the tale of friendly nun Maria who is sent by her convent to be governess to Captain Von Trapp's seven rowdy children.
Whilst with the Von Trapp children, Maria falls in love with the captain and the children and their father discover the wonders of music and laughter. For those that do not know the story we won't include the dramatic ending, you will have to watch to find out what happens to the family and Maria.
Andrew Lloyd Webber and David Ian have combined forces to recreate one of the most popular musicals of all time!
