Based on Steven King's 1982 novel entitled Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption the play follows the seven-time academy award nominated film of 1994.

The Shawshank Redemption tells the story of Andy Dufresne, wrongfully convicted of murdering his wife and her lover. In a tragic twist of fate he is sent to the notoriously harsh Shawshank Prison to serve two life sentences under a grueling regime.

Despite the twists and turns of prison survival, Dufresne never gives up on one thing in particular, hope. A fascinating tale of personal strength and determination.
