The painstakingly shy, semi-reclusive Little Voice has learned to impersonate the voices of many of the great divas in the sanctuary of her room, where she hides from an overbearing, alcoholic mother. When Little Voice is overheard singing by the slick talking Ray Say she is suddenly catapulted into the spotlight. Her mother sees it as her last chance; Little Voice, as an inconvenience.
