Simba is destined to become the King of the Pridelands but is scared away by his evil uncle, Scar. Simba flees, but with the help of Rafiki a wise old baboon, Timon the comedic meerkat, his warthog sidekick Pumbaa and his best friend Nala, Simba discovers the benefits of friendship and a few of life's lessons.
