St Martins was built as a companion to the New Ambassadors, a small, cosy theatre that sits next door, in memorium for the 9th Baron Willoughby de Broke St Martins theatre was maintained primarily by amateur dramatics in its early years and is home to the record-breaking run of The Mousetrap.
