A fabulous amalgamation of glamour, cross-dressing and disco, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a West End experience you'll never forget.
"I will survive! As long as I know how to love I know I'll stay alive!"
Based on the hit Australian flick, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is a vibrant tale of friendship and individuality.
Priscilla tells the story of three colourful misfits as they trek through the Australian Outback following their irrepressible dreams. Tick (Jason Donovan) is a struggling drag queen trying to make his mark in Sydney. Things aren't looking great for Tick until a phone call from Alice Springs comes in asking if he'll perform a four week season at the casino. The only problem is that Alice Springs is over 2016 km away! Undetterred and certain that this will be his big break, Tick rounds up his transsexual friend Bernadette (Tony Sheldon) and the excitable party-boy Adam (Oliver Thornton) to drive across the great Australian Desert with nothing more than Priscilla, a battered and tatty old bus, for transportation.
Set to a sensational soundtrack of 70s' disco classics, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is an extremely lively and entertaining show.
A real comic treat, the London version of this acclaimed show will run at the Palace Theatre until September 26th, 2009.
Australian singer and actor Jason Donovan will star as Tick (and Mitzi) until May, 2010.
