The Prince Edward Theatre was opened in 1930 and has had a varied history after it's initial failure caused it to be transformed into a cabaret restaurant, the London Casino, home of the Variety shows during the Second World War and cinema that pioneered wide-screen before re-opening as a theatre with the World Premier of Evita in 1978.

Venue Access Information:
The Prince Edward Theatre has separate access for wheelchair users through the exit doors on Greek Street. There is a very short ramp to box one where there are two spaces for wheelchair users and companions. The Prince Edward welcomes two guide dogs per performance into the auditorium but will happily arrange for staff to dog-sit if you prefer. A maximum of two wheelchairs and one scooter can be stored at the back of the stalls. The disabled toilets are to the right of the foyer. Infra-red headsets are available for the hard of hearing for a £5 refundable deposit.
