Tutankhamun at the O2 Arena, London Docklands
The current exhibition includes more than 130 artefacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun, other Valley of the Kings tombs and ancient Egyptian sites. The Exhibition also features recent forensic studies performed on Tutankhamun's mummy with a special exhibition that explores the mystery of Tutankhamun's death through CT scans performed on the young pharaoh's mummy. Additionally, a realistic, life-sized bust created by forensic specialists lets visitors look into the face of the young pharaoh for the first time.
Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter, a British archaeologist. Inside were unimaginable treasures from the Golden Age of the Pharaohs which gave us a breath-taking glimpse of the past that has made this young Pharaoh famous the world over.
Interesting Tutankahmun Facts:
- Tutankhamun ascended the throne over three thousand years ago, during the 18th Dynasty, at just nine years old
