The Architecture of The Novello

Designed by W.G.R. Sprague, who during his 40 year career designed 33 theatres, the Novello is an impressive building, and the last three tiered theatre built in London.

The theatre since it was built has been refurbished several times, the most recent in 2005. In 1930 the boxes around the Dress Circle were removed and the interior improved in the 1970's. The Novello now has four licensed bars and the capacity for over one thousand people across four levels.
