In 1956, Sam Phillips — the founder of Sun Records — gathered together four of the artists he had discovered in the recording studio which catapulted him to stardom. These four musicians were not just any old gang of microphone-wielding crooners, they were Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis.
