Synopsis
Mark Morris is an innovative and decorated choreographer whose shows have won two Laurence Olivier awards.
Mark Morris' L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato first debuted in 1988 and was instantly heralded as a landmark piece. Set to the poetry of John Milton and Handel's pastoral ode, this show has been described by Times as a must-see.
Other Mark Morris productions of note include a Romeo and Juliet accompanied by an obscure arrangement by Prokofiev and King Arthur in conjunction with the English National Opera.
With ambitious choreography that always hits the mark you are guaranteed to enjoy this production. Mark Morris has created seven works for the San Francisco ballet and is a name synonymous with enjoyable productions.
