The National Theatre production of War Horse will be staging a charity performance on Remembrance Day.

A new charity called Families of the Fallen will launch at the 11 November show. The charity aims to offer extra funding to the families of UK servicemen/women who lost their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The charity’s chairman Martyn Lewis spoke passionately about the UK’s need for such an organisation, saying: “Whether you support the war or not, we believe that we all have a special duty of care to the families of those servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.”
All money raised by Families of the Fallen will be distributed by pre-existing military charities including The Soldiers’ Charity and the Royal British Legion.
