Van Outen Confirmed For Legally Blonde

Sheridan's sticking around and she's about to make some new friends!
It’s been an exciting week to be a Legally Blonde The Musical fan.
What with rumours flying around about Broadway megastars joining the cast, Sheridan Smith extending her run until after Christmas, and whispers about Denise Van Outen being cast as the new Paulette, it’s been a heady few days.
Although it’s looking more and more unlikely that Laura Bell Bundy will join the West End cast of Legally Blonde, it has now been confirmed that Denise Van Outen, wife of West End leading man Lee Mead, will play Paulette from 25 October 2010.
She will be joined on stage by Siobhan Dillon from BBC casting show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?. Dillion was a finalist on the popular reality show and went on to make her West End debut as Patty in Grease at the Piccadilly. She will play Vivienne Kensington in Legally Blonde from 25 October.
Also joining the cast on the 25th is the now-obligatory ex-Hollyoaks cast member, this time it’s Carley Stenson. Best known for her portrayal of Steph Cunningham, Stenson will play Margot in Legally Blonde.
