The latest trailer for West End play Deathtrap is in the wild.

Clever and twisted, Deathtrap is a darkly comic thriller by Ira Levin, the man responsible for The Stepford Wives, Rosemary’s Baby, The Boys from Brazil and A Kiss Before Dying, and this brilliant trailer has more in common with a Hollywood movie than the normal “will-that-do” video packages thrown together by producers.
Deathtrap follows Sidney Bruhl (played by theatre giant Simon Russell Beale), a frustrated playwright, struggling to find his next big idea. Fortunately a former student (Glee star Jonathan Groff) visits him looking for help with a play he is writing…
Also cast are Outnumbered actress Claire Skinner as Myra Bruhl and Oscar-winner Estelle Parsons, who will make her West End debut, starring as Helga ten Dorp. Parsons won an Academy Ward for playing Blanche in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, and is known to many as Beverley in hit US sitcom Roseanne.
This is the first London revival of Deathtrap since the original 1978 production and will be directed by Matthew Warchus, whose recent credits include Art and God of Carnage. It opens on September 7 with previews from August 21.
Deathtrap ticket and hotel deals are available now, so check out the extended trailer to see if it takes your fancy.
