Beautiful People In Bridget Jones The Musical

When I read the full cast list for the workshop of Bridget Jones’s Diary, frankly I was amazed.
Not just at the immense talent that will be gathered together in one room, but at the sheer gorgeousness of this particular troupe of players. Consider the evidence so far:
Sheridan Smith (@sheridansmith1) – London’s original Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, star of dozens of BBC Three sitcoms which she alone makes watchable, and more importantly Olivier Award-nominated actress.

Julian Ovenden is set to appear in Bridget Jones's Diary, The Musical
Julian Ovenden – *faints*
…………
Sorry, what was I saying? Oh yes, Julian Ovenden, who made the largely disappointing Annie Get Your Gun at the Young Vic watchable. If your jaw doesn’t drop slightly open when thinking about him – whether you’re male, female, straight, gay, or other – then I suggest you check whether or not you’re an alien, because the man is almost incomprehensibly beautiful.
Bertie Carvel – A pleasant surprise to see that he’s back in musical theatre after his stupendous turn as Leo Frank in the dark, brilliant Parade at the Donmar.
Cassidy Janson (@cjjanson) – This woman is stunning even when she’s covered in green make-up, as she was as standby Elphaba in Wicked. She’s also the sexiest Lucy The Slut in Avenue Q I’ve ever seen.
Tiffany Graves – Legs up to her ears, she can currently be seen wandering around the stage of the Theatre Royal Haymarket in her underwear every night as Helene in Sweet Charity.
Honestly, they could just get this lot to sit on the stage and smile prettily and people would be paying top dollar for tickets just to marvel at their collective exquisiteness. We might have already had the debates about the hottest men and women in the West End at the moment – looks like the show’s creators have been compiling their own list and casting them all together, and for that, we must thank them.
