See, I Told You Jurassic Park Could Happen

Some of you may remember a while back I suggested a Jurassic Park musical would be a good idea. Don’t worry, it’s still not happening, I can’t find a Sheik that loves dinosaurs enough to give me the cash I need to make it. They all seem to prefer Michael Jackson. Until I can secure funding for my carnival of Cretaceous creativity, you’ll have to make do with the BBC’s multi-million pound dinosaur extravaganza. Walking With Dinosaurs has been made into a live show complete with massive (presumably animatronic) dinosaurs.
Anyone who watched Walking With Dinosaurs will know that it’s amazingly realistic, entertaining and rather educational. What a mix, you can learn AND have fun at the same time. If only someone told me that at school I might have spent less time looking up rude words in the English to German dictionary and sticking Pritt Sticks to the ceiling.
My misspent and lamentably chavvy childhood aside, Walking With Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular will be appearing in Glasgow before moving to Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester, London (O2 Arena), Birmingham, and Liverpool, the dino-packed visual smorgasbord will end its run at London’s historic Wembley Arena.
As far as I know, Barney, Denver, Littlefoot and Madonna the dinosaurs won’t be making special guest appearances. It’s a shame I know but we really should just be grateful that the BBC has spend gazillions on live dino goodness. I was musing however, how will the robots be transported when on tour? Will I be pootling along one day and see a T-Rex in a giant horsebox holding up the M25? I sure hope so.

The dialogue is my own addition, I can’t guarantee that the dinosaurs will roar, threaten to eat anyone or even actually move but let’s wait and see, I predict great things.
