The Lyceum Theatre has had a varied history, from theatre to music hall and back to theatre via closure from threats by fire safety regulations to being demolished to make way for a roundabout before the outbreak of World War Two. It's boards have been tread by many a great from John Gielgud to Bob Marley, The Who and U2 .
