The Cripple of Inishmaan Theatre Breaks

Daniel Radcliffe in the Michael Grandage Company's Season of Five Plays

Everyone's favourite boy wizard shakes off Harry Potter's cloak to star in The Cripple of Inishmaan, a gleefully dark and original coming-of-age story from Martin McDonagh, celebrated Irish playwright and filmmaker (2008's sublime In Bruges) of cutting and clever, hilarious and heartbreaking tales.

This darkly comic masterpiece follows the struggles of orphaned 'Cripple' Billy Claven to escape the mundanity and gossipy inhabitants of his isolated Irish community when a Hollywood crew comes to a neighbouring town. His fellow Islanders can't believe their eyes when the unlucky boy finally gets a chance to chase his dream…

Finding fame from an early age in the titular role of the Harry Potter franchise, Daniel Radcliffe has since matured into a talented presence both on screen and stage, playing Equus' Alan Strang to great acclaim and showing a brooding intensity in the film adaptation of The Woman in Black.

Don't miss this chance to see him add another string to his bow in this extraordinary play from one of modern theatre's most distinct and original voices.
