Henry V Theatre Breaks

Jude Law in the last of the Michael Grandage Company's Season of Five Plays

Award-winning actor Jude Law continues his fruitful collaboration with esteemed director Michael Grandage in this new staging of Shakespeare's Henry V, following their partnership on 2009's Hamlet and the Donmar's production of Anna Christie.

Law stars as the titular King of England, who must be steely and strong in the face of fierce opposition as he leads his band of brothers to conquer France. The horrors of war are exposed and explored in a complex play of military might and the unspeakable sacrifices made for one's nation.

Set at the close of the 16th century, Shakespeare's masterpiece is a virtuoso piece of theatre famous for its iconic St Crispin's Day Speech. It spans the Battle of Agincourt and the Hundred Years' War as the King wrestles with the burden placed upon his shoulders.

Henry V runs from 23 November 2013 until 15 February 2014 at the Noel Coward Theatre, so be sure to get your ticket and hotel package early before the historical epic sells out.
