Fortune Theatre

The Fortune Theatre was the first theatre to be built after the First World War and stands on the site if the old Albion Tavern. Over the years a number of famous names have graced the stage at the Fortune, including Dame Judi Dench, Dudley Moore, Alan Bennett, Maureen Lipman and Jonathan Miller. The theatre has housed 'At the Drop of a Hat', a Flanders and Swan production and 'On Approval' by Frederick Lonsdale.
