Duke Bluebeards Castle and The Rite of Spring Theatre Breaks
Duke Bluebeard's Castle and The Rite of Spring is a fantastic double bill of two of the greatest 20th century art forms. Between the performances of the Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre and English National Opera's award-winning Music Director, Edward Gardner, this is one of the most beautiful and moving productions in the West End.
Duke Bluebeard's Castle retells the story of a wife desperately seeking to unlock the secrets of her husband's past. Making his Coliseum debut, Daniel Kramer (fresh from his South Bank Award-winning production of Britwistle's Punch & Judy) will be directing Bartók's only opera.
Michael Keegan-Dolan will be directing his Oliver Award-nominated dance theatre company, Fabulous Beast in Stravinsky's dark and ritualistic ballet which sees a young girl sacrificed on the altar of her community's future.
Featuring a massively expanded orchestra, Edward Gardner will conduct what is guaranteed to be a truly explosive evening of song and dance.
