Tamzin starred in the remake of the 60's hit, Boeing Boeing alongside Frances de la Tour and Roger Allam. No stranger to the stage, Tamzin has performed in other hits such as Grease and Oliveras well as appearing in the popular series Hotel Babylon on the BBC as Rebecca Mitchell.

Early Life

Born on 5th November 1970 in Essex, Tamzin has had a highly successful career to date. She attended the Stagestruck Theatre Company as a teenager and at 16 left school to join the London Studio Centre to study drama and dance. Already a success from a young age, she left with the trophy for best all-rounder. In 1987 Tamzin appeared as a presenter on the youth show, No Limits and she can also be seen in U2's music video for their song Mysterious Ways.

Career Highlights

Tamzin Outhwaite is probably better known for her role in the BBC soap Eastenders as the troubled Melanie Owen. Her character was often central to many explosive storylines, as a result Tamzin is widely considered one of the UK's most recognisable and popular actresses.

Outhwaite has made a series of appearances on the small screen in a variety of shows; The Bill, Men Behaving Badly, Hustle and Hotel Babylon. Tamzin was also the face of Avon Cosmetics from 2003 to 2005 appearing in numerous TV commercials, not to mention regular performances on the West End stage.
