Current Role

Susan McFadden is the latest singing sensation to take on the iconic role of Sandy in the new production of Grease in London's West End. Susan was cast in the role of Sandy by public vote on Saturday 9th June 2007 while her original partner, Danny Bayne, was cast in the role of Danny.

Susan and Danny B will be performing in David Ian's production of Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre.

Early Life

Susan McFadden was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. Susan has been singing and performing since she was 4 years old. She attended the Billy Barry stage school in Dublin where she took dance classes and singing lessons for a number of years. Susan had lived in London for 18 months before winning this role and was continually disappointed by narrowly missing out on a number of parts in West End shows. She worked at the beauty counters in Harrods for a year before winning the lead role in a panotmime at the beginning of this year.

Career Highlights

Susan McFadden has performed in a number of productions in Ireland. She has even played the role of Sandy before in a small production of Grease in Dublin. Susan was best known in Ireland for appearing in the Irish equivalent of Pop Idol, You're A Star. Although a finalist, Susan didn't win this national singing competition, but certainly gained a number of fans and gave some fantastic performances along the way.

Susan's TV credits include Jenny in Irish mini-series Relative Strangers, Orla in Bachelor's Walk and 12 appearances on You're A Star.
