Early Life

Siobhan Donaghy was born in London, England on the 14th of June 1984. She was born of Irish decent and has been performing since she was 12 years old. Siobhan was discovered by former All Saints manager Ron Tom who later formed the chart topping Sugababes when she was just 13 years old. The Sugababes had success with hits such as "Overload" and "Run For Cover", taken from the 2001 album "One Touch".

Career Highlights

After leaving the Sugababes in August 2001 Siobhan started writing music along with the help of former producer Cameron McVey and began performing under the alias of "Shanghai Nobody". In March 2003, Siobhan released her first single as a solo artist. "Nothing But Song" was released as a 7" vinyl single only and was unfortunately relatively unknown. In June 2003 her first commercial solo single was released. "Overrated", co-written with Cameron McVey, entered the Official UK Singles Chart at #19. The title of the lead single, "Overrated", is a play on words on Sugababes' debut single, "Overload." After releasing "Overated" and "Twist of Fate" Siobhan released her debut album "Revolution in Me" - the title is said to reflect her decision to split from the Sugababes. Unfortunately the album was not a success due to lack of promotion. Siobhan parted with London Records in a mutual decision with the company. After recording a second album with no record label it was rumoured that Donaghy was in talks with Parlophone, to which was later confirmed on her My Space page. Her album, "Ghosts" was finally released on June 25, 2007, via Parlophone, to excellent reviews in the United Kingdom, but with no radio support it peaked at #92, and then, fell out of the Top 200 Albums.
